The matcha whisk holder chasen-tate is a collaborative effort between Yugen Tea and Ardor Ceramics for a mindful daily matcha preparation ritual. The holder helps to maintain the shape of the whisk, allowing it to dry evenly and prolonging its use. Each piece is handmade in Lithuania by ceramic artisan Aleksey Sidorov, whose work is characterised by simplicity, functionality and a calm aesthetic for tea rituals.

The matcha whisk holder (chasen-tate) is a joint creation of Yugen Tea and Ardor Ceramics, designed for those for whom the preparation of matcha is a conscious daily ritual. Each holder is handmade and therefore has a subtle and unique character.

The Matcha Whisk Holder is designed to hold the matcha whisk in a wide, natural position, separating the inner and outer teeth. This helps the matcha whisk to dry evenly, maintain its correct shape and prolong its life.

Ardor Ceramics is a Lithuanian ceramic born out of long-standing tea practices and ceremonial rituals. Aleksey Sidorov strives for simplicity, functionality and an aesthetic of silence in his work. The soft shapes and calm colours of the glazes are created so that the objects do not dominate, but accompany and become part of the daily rituals.
