Futanashi teapot

Futanashi is one of the most modern designs of the traditional Japanese kyusu tea pot. This teapot has been specially designed without a lid for more convenient and simple everyday use. The shape of the teapot is designed for easy pouring and to prevent the tea from spilling over the sides, while the thicker walls of the bowl prevent the tea from cooling down. The metal mesh prevents small tea leaves from falling into the cup. Especially nice for making fragrant teas – like genmaicha, hojicha or wakoucha. For the Yugen Tea collection, we chose this design for its ease of maintenance and the ability to watch the leaves unfold.
